God’s Goodness and Faithfulness

Thank you for being a manifestation of God’s goodness and faithfulness!!!

As I write this, the scripture comes up, that God is not a man that He should repent; neither the son of man, that He should lie; hath He said, and shall He not do it? Or, hath He not spoken, and shall He not make it good?  God’s ways are often different from our thoughts and are higher than our thoughts and His ways.

I start with this because so often we start out thinking we hear God’s promises and confess them and we desire to see them manifest.  We want problems to change overnight and sometimes they do, but most times it starts with a “seed”.  We read a small promise and take hold of that promise and we stand and while we are standing, faith is having its perfect work done in us.  It is removing our doubt, to where you stand on God’s Word and nothing else.  Often times there are no backup plan; God has to come through.  I mention this because we would tithe and tell God this is not going to leave much left over for groceries.  Then we would remember, I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their seed begging for bread. We would get our kids together and pray and thank God.  God always sent stuff in the strangest ways; a call, or a knock on the door, He always provided.

My husband went from working one job where we were OK, but then to another job with less pay; but he know God was asking him,”Will you still praise me and trust me?”  In the natural it looks like you are going backwards, instead of forward.  In the natural, this past Christmas it looked so tight, we were paying off debt from 4 years ago when we didn’t know God’s Word on borrowing.  We knew He didn’t want us in debt.  Slowly we had been paying 3 years for every month, a debt management company in the natural it looked impossible.  After we finished one bill, we would start again on another bill.  What looks impossible to us is NOT IMPOSSIBLE TO God!  For with God nothing is impossible.

We had claimed the promised to be debt free for three years believing, but faith was working in us removing things in us and getting our heart right.  God was leading and showing us that He was there and it is His goodness that leads us to repentance.  There we were standing on what to do when you are waiting to receive the promise stand, and then we would see a little manifestation and God would tell us to sow that money as our seed.  As Christmas approached, we gathered our kids and said this Christmas in the natural looks like it will be tight. We don’t hide from our kids but we tell them the circumstance. We then said it looks like this, but we serve a big God! So let’s join our faith together and we will believe together.  We don’t limit their faith but include them. We thanked God and praised God for a Christmas that Jesus was going to show up. When your ministry (OEWI) found us, it was in a response to prayer we told no one about but, God.  When the kids saw what God did, it was as if a dream they told us Jesus did show up!

As a parent you want them to know Jesus shows up!! He is faithful! He not only showed up, but over whelmed us with His goodness!!  We sometimes think we can ask God for this, but this might be too much for Him; because I don’t see how He could answer this I don’t know any way this could come to pass. The good thing is we don’t have to figure that part out we are only called to believe. He just showed us that you have to put your trust in Him and look to Him. Then let Him answer how He will.

He showed us that He is able to do immeasurable more than we can ask or think according to the power that works within us. Forever etched in our mind the Christmas Jesus showed up!!! It was the day of Jubilee, the day of restoration.

Thank you for showing us Jesus can always show up when we trust in Him!!
